In this 3 day / 2 night tour through the foothills of one of the most wonderful volcanoes in the world we will explore its surroundings and nature full of life. We will also visit one of the most colorful lagoons in the world, Laguna del Quilotoa. With an impressive turquoise color, it makes this place a paradise within an extinct volcano.

- Quilotoa: Quilotoa or "princess diamond" in Kichwa, is one of the colossi of the avenue of volcanoes in whose crater lies a spectacular lagoon, hence you will always hear stories of the Quilotoa Volcano and the Quilotoa Lagoon.
DAY 1: PICK UP FROM QUITO - TRIP TO COTOPAXI FULL DAY - OVERNIGHT IN HACIENDA
Our guide will pick you up at your hotel to take you to one of the most emblematic points of Ecuador, the Cotopaxi volcano, considered the largest active volcano in the world at 5,897 meters high (19,347 feet high). During our stay in the National Park, we will admire its natural environment, its Flora and Fauna with the explanations of your naturalist guide. We will also take a walk around Lake Limpiopungo, which is located at the foot of the volcano, to observe some birds from the Páramo region. On a clear day, the view of the volcano reflected on the surface of the lake is magnificent. We will take a brief visit to the small museum that talks about the park, its nature, wildlife, and the eruptions of the centerpiece of the park. Afterward, we will go to a local hacienda. Overnight in a local Hacienda in the Cotopaxi area.

DAY 2: VISIT INDIGENOUS MARKETS ON THE WAY TO QUILOTOA LAGOON - RETURN TO COTOPAXI
You will begin your journey to Quilotoa Crater Lake, it is a volcanic crater filled with crystal blue water and holds a special place in local indigenous mythology for being bottomless. Along the way to reach the crater, you will pass local markets in Saquisilí (Thursdays) or Pujilí (Sundays), where you can appreciate the indigenous way of life. You will also pass through Zumbahua Canyon, which is an excellent photo opportunity. When you reach Quilotoa, you will be able to walk from the rim to the water's edge and appreciate its beauty up close. The walk back is quite steep, however, there is always the option to rent a mule for a few extra dollars, we will return to Cotopaxi to the local hacienda where we will spend the night.

DAY 3: FREE MORNING OF ACTIVITIES AT HACIENDA IN THE COTOPAXI AREA - RETURN TO QUITO
This last day will dawn with an impressive view of the beautiful Cotopaxi volcano. We are near the national park and we can do various activities with the local community, we can visit the famous rose plantations known worldwide as the most colorful and beautiful flowers in the world. You can also opt for trekking to different attractions that are close to the local haciendas, or you can undoubtedly take one of the most attractive activities, a horseback ride like a real "CHAGRA" which means cowboy of the Andes. These are characterized by raising brave cattle, without a doubt a unique experience. In the afternoon we will return to Quito where our guide will drop you off at his hotel.
OPTIONAL ACTIVITIES:
As additional services, we offer these activities: visits to rose plantations, horseback riding, biking, trekking to different nearby tourist attractions in the area.
