- Salento: Salento is an Andean city in Colombia, west of Bogotá. It is known for its coffee farms and the vegetation of its surroundings. To the east is the Cocora Valley, where wax palms, a national symbol, are home to rare parrots. The city is an access route to the snow-capped peaks of the Los Nevados National Natural Park, to the northeast. In Salento, Calle Real has colorful buildings and craft shops.
- The Cocora Valley: is a natural landscape located in the central mountain range of the Colombian Andes, specifically in the department of Quindío, in the area of influence of the Los Nevados National Natural Park.
- Santa Marta is a city located in the Caribbean Sea, in the department of Magdalena in northern Colombia. It is a busy port that was also the first Spanish settlement in Colombia. It is the access route for excursions in the Tayrona National Natural Park and for multi-day guided tours of the archaeological site of the Lost City (Teyuna) in the Sierra Nevada of the Santa Marta Mountains.
- Tayrona National Park: in northern Colombia, is a large protected area that covers the slopes of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta in areas adjacent to the Caribbean coast. It is known for its palm-covered coves, coastal lagoons, tropical jungle and abundant biodiversity. In its center, the ruins of Pueblito are an archaeological site that is accessed through trails in the forests, with terraces and structures built by the Tayrona civilization.
DAY 1: ARRIVAL TO THE COFFEE AXIS - PEREIRA
The Coffee Triangle, also known as the Coffee Axis, now called the Cultural Coffee Landscape, is a part of the Colombian paisa region famous for growing and producing most of the Colombian coffee, considered by some as the best coffee in the world. It consists of three departments in the area: Quindío, with its capital Armenia, Risaralda, with its capital Pereira, and Caldas, with its capital Manizales. Upon arrival at the "La Matecaña" International Airport in Pereira, you will be greeted by our experienced and professional Tour leader, who will transfer you to the picturesque town of Salento for hotel Check-In. After settling in and refreshing, our guests, along with our experienced Tour leader, will head to a Salento Restaurant to enjoy a delicious welcome meal. During the meal, you will have the opportunity to meet other participants and learn about the itinerary and journey we will undertake during your stay in Colombia. Then, we will explore the streets of Salento to familiarize ourselves with the surroundings before returning to the hotel. Free time and overnight stay.

DAY 2: LOS PUEBLOS & COFFEE TOUR
After breakfast, our guests will enjoy a cultural coffee tour at a coffee farm in the Barcelona area, near the banks of the Quindío River. Here, we embark on a two-and-a-half-hour sensory and cultural experience. We will live firsthand the harvest and post-harvest process of delicious Colombian Coffee. Our guide, a knowledgeable barista from the region, will explain all the secrets of the coffee farms and complement the experience with a tasting where we will learn to appreciate all the special notes of coffee and how different extraction methods can give us a range of unimaginable flavors.
Then, the tour takes us to the town of Buenavista, home to the most impressive viewpoints of the Quindío Basin and the most awarded coffee in Colombia. Here, we will visit the "San Alberto boutique Hacienda," which boasts numerous international recognitions for the excellence of its coffee. While savoring an exquisite drink, we will learn about the history of the place and understand the impact of guerrillas in the region, as well as how the Coffee Axis became, thanks to its people, the safest and most serene corner of the country.
After visiting the San Alberto Farm, the road continues to the mystical town of "Pijao," an isolated locality nestled among mountains that seems to have been trapped in time, offering a journey to the past of approximately 60 years. This magical place captivates all who wander through its picturesque streets. We will have lunch at a local place next to the main square, enjoying the serenity that only Pijao can offer.
In the afternoon, we will return to Salento, where our guests will have time to relax, explore the town at their own pace, and enjoy the various restaurants and bars that Salento has to offer.

DAY 3: COCORA VALLEY
After enjoying a delicious breakfast, our journey will take us to the famous Cocora Valley.
The Cocora Valley is located in the Central Cordillera of the Colombian Andes and is part of the "Los Nevados" National Park. "Cocora" was the name of a Quimbaya indigenous princess and means "Star of Water."
In this Valley, you will find the National Tree of Colombia, the Wax Palm (Ceroxylon quindiuense), which can reach a height of 60 meters; this region also hosts a wide variety of flora and fauna, all protected as part of a National Park. Once there, our guests will have the opportunity to witness the Palm ritual and then plant a Palm.
Here, we will appreciate the magic of the cloud forest and the beautiful wax palms, taking a tour through the viewpoints of the Wax Palm forest for approximately 4 miles. For the more adventurous, we can extend this tour through the forest on the slopes of Morrogacho hill for another 4 and a half miles. After this interesting excursion, we will return to Salento, where we can spend the rest of the day enjoying the local restaurants, as well as the souvenir and local craft shops.

DAY 4: BIRDWATCHING IN LA CARBONERA
Our adventure begins early, at 5:40 am, as we head towards La Carbonera, the largest Wax Palm forest in the world.
Around 8:00 am, we will stop at a charming house along the way that awaits us with a traditional breakfast that will revitalize your senses.
Before reaching our destination, we will indulge in a cheese snack to energize us and keep fatigue at bay. During the journey from Salento to La Carbonera, we will have the opportunity to spot various birds, especially when we identify mixed flocks. With the experience of our guides, we can predict when one of these flocks is approaching, allowing us to enjoy the spectacle of birds fluttering around us.
Once we arrive at La Carbonera, we delve into the beautiful path of La Ceja, where we will explore the surroundings while enjoying nature. Then we continue our journey to the La Carbonera house and descend a little further in a jeep until we reach La Cañada, where a spectacular waterfall and viewpoint await us for a delicious lunch with free time to appreciate the landscape.
On our return to Salento, we continue bird watching and enjoying the natural beauty that surrounds us, returning approximately between three and four in the afternoon. The mixed flocks you find on this trip are truly impressive. Observe how different species come together and fly in unison, seeking food along the forests and road edges. It's a truly incredible spectacle!

DAY 5: ARRIVAL TO SANTA MARTA
Today, our journey takes us to the Colombian Caribbean Coast, specifically to Santa Marta.
In the mid-morning, we will transfer from Salento to the "La Matecaña" International Airport in Pereira to take the flight to the "Simón Bolívar" International Airport in Santa Marta.
Santa Marta is a District of Colombia, the capital of the Magdalena Department, in the Colombian Caribbean region. It was founded on July 29, 1525, by the Spaniard Rodrigo de Bastidas, making Santa the oldest standing city in Colombia. It is located on the shores of the bay of the same name.
Santa Marta is known for its tourist activities, the history of its streets, and its beaches. The "El Rodadero" resort is one of the main Caribbean destinations for Colombians. Its urban area is located between the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta and the Caribbean Sea, and the Tayrona National Park is part of its jurisdiction. Santa Marta is also well known for being the place where the Liberator Simón Bolívar died on December 17, 1830, at the Quinta de San Pedro Alejandrino, which at that time was on the outskirts of the city. Santa Marta is the capital of the Magdalena Department, has a total area of 2,393.35 square kilometers, and the average height of the city is 2 meters above sea level. According to the last general census, the total population of Santa Marta is 499,192 inhabitants. According to the figures presented, whites and mestizos make up 94.6 percent of the population, Afro-descendants 3.5 percent, and indigenous people 1.6 percent. The average temperature throughout the year varies from 24 °C to 31 °C and rarely drops below 23 °C or rises above 33 °C.

DAY 6: KATANZAMA RESERVE
Today, our passengers will discover the Katanzama indigenous reserve, located in the Don Diego region in the middle of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta. A place surrounded by nature, where you will learn about their tradition and spirituality.
We start with a visit to the Arhuaco collection center, where the cocoa process and each of its benefits are shown, the weaving of the Arhuaca backpacks, and other products made from cocoa by natives of the region. Then we arrive at the Katanzama indigenous community, where a member of the indigenous community welcomes visitors and tells the story, culture, and experiences. Tour between the malocas.
A delicious lunch prepared by the community with ingredients they cultivate themselves will await our guests. At the end of the afternoon, return to the Hotel for Dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 7: TAYRONA & ARRECIFE
Today's tour allows us to experience the tropical forests of Tayrona and the beautiful beaches of Arrecife in Santa Marta. 45 minutes from Santa Marta, we arrive at Cañaveral, where the walk to Arrecifes begins through tropical forests with the presence of microclimates, birds, and occasionally the cheerful play of squirrels and monkeys.
After 45 minutes of walking, we arrive at one of the most beautiful places in the country: The Beaches of Arrecifes, a place recognized for its extraordinary natural beauty. The walk continues past the beaches of Arenilla and the natural Pool (25 minutes), then we reach the beautiful beaches of Cabo San Juan (20 minutes). Here, we have Restaurant, cafeteria, and bathroom services.
Here we will have the opportunity to enjoy a refreshing swim in the crystal-clear waters, relax on the white sandy beaches, and take in the breathtaking views of the Caribbean Sea. After a day of sun and sea, we will return to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

DAY 8: FREE MORNING - DEPARTURE
On the final day of our program, our guests will have the morning free to enjoy the hotel facilities or take a last stroll on the beach. After check-out, we will transfer to the "Simón Bolívar" International Airport in Santa Marta for your return flight, marking the end of our services.
